The start of the new school year means it is time for the children to elect their new School Council members which they did by holding a secret ballot. Most of the children in Year 3/4 were eager to stand for election so, after writing a simple manifesto on their whiteboards, they each shared with the rest of the class the reason why they thought they would make a good School Councillor. Each child was then given a voting slip upon which they wrote the name of their preferred candidates. The children voted for a Year 3 boy and girl and a Year 4 boy and girl each. The voting slips were then folded in half to keep  their votes secret and posted into the black ballot box. Once the votes have been counted the new Year 3 and 4 School Councillors for the year 2016-2017 will be announced.
