On the 30th June, Year 10 went on a Geography field trip to three sites along the Little Avon River. The first was at Wickwar near the source. Here we measured the width and velocity of the river. Then we travelled to Damery where the river had become deep and fast flowing to take measurements. We had lunch and visited a farm shop. Next we got on the coach, soaking wet and with wellies full of water, to head to Berkeley Pill near the mouth. The water was waist to shoulder deep and only 8 people got in. We took the measurements before getting back on the bus.
